Inspiring People to Use Their Gifts for Global Impact

The Power of Place

Screen Shot 2018-06-16 at 3.31.28 PM

“What if your greatest barrier in life was your place?”

When I heard my pastor pose this question during one of his messages about seven years ago, it hit me.  It wasn’t a statement that caused me to nod my head and then was quickly forgotten. No. Instead, it hit me and stuck with me.  I couldn’t shake it.

As a teacher, I immediately began to think about the students I worked with on a daily basis who, for the most part, had every opportunity, resource, and relationship before them.  I thought of the classroom in which I was teaching filled with books and bins, technology and training materials. Our school was a warm and safe place. Our building was one where students felt valued and appreciated, significant and sown into.  Children I taught knew that their teachers believed they had potential and greatness on the inside of them, and each day was spent unearthing, cultivating, and promoting the growth of each child’s unique gifts and talents.

Our school was a beautiful place filled with love and learning,

joy and journeying.

Then, just as quickly, my mind flashed to the classrooms in Haiti that I had visited in the past few years.  In 2010, right after the major earthquake, I was given the opportunity to go work with teachers and students at a school in Les Cayes.  Despite the conditions, and the 30, 40, & 50+ students in each class, the teachers there were working just as hard to teach and train the young people in their care.  They were spending hours each day doing their best to teach the children what they were expected to learn, with minimal materials, while sorting through the devastation their nation had just experienced.  Through it all, their heart for the children was evident.

There was one difference … one significant difference …

and that was their place.

For the children in both places, the desire to learn was the same.  The innate talent and ability was the same. The gifts and talents, the potential, the dreams and vision, desire and hope were the same.

The imagining and dreaming about

“What do I want to be when I grow up?” was the same.

What was heartbreaking for me though, as I thought about the similarities between children in Haiti and the children in my own school in Ohio, was that the one difference was so significant.

For children in Haiti, their place doesn’t make their dreams and vision, hopes and heart any less important.  The fact that they don’t have books in their classrooms, have six students sitting at a desk built for three, are using broken pencils and “nubs” of crayons, with no electricity, no technology, and are trying to learn as the 90 degree heat and humidity causes sweat to drip down their backs … does not minimize their significance one single ounce.

Where they live, where they play, where they go to school, where they spend their days does not reduce their ability to think big, hope for the impossible, and see themselves making an impact on the world.

The children who are growing up in “places” all over the world where the resources are lacking, the support structures for growth are not in place, and the doors of opportunity are often closed or absent altogether … those children, just as much as children from wealthy neighborhoods and families, communities and regions, are just as worthy of experiencing the joy of growth and the sweetness of success.

They are just as gifted, just as talented, just as brilliant as the children who have been blessed to be born in places of abundance.  There is no condemnation for those who were blessed to be in environments where all of their needs are met in above and beyond ways. However, those whose place would not be defined that way deserve opportunity too.  They deserve atmospheres and environments where their hopes and dreams can thrive, and their gifts, talents, and abilities can be cultivated and utilized to impact the Kingdom.

And that truth … that truth alone … hit me that day, and I knew I needed to do something about it.

So, as I spent time in the Global School of Ministry at Cornerstone Church, I knew I needed to start a nonprofit organization to unearth the gifts, talents, and abilities of underprivileged children around the world.  Through one of our “Business Plan” assignments, in the Kingdom Business track, I had the chance to create a real plan that could make a real impact. The business leaders, who were my mentors at the time, helped me with this process.  I am so grateful, because I knew I needed to take the resources that have been afforded to me and sow them into the lives of children whose place is their only limiting factor.

As a result, A Gifted Generation was born in 2012.  We are currently a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and our mission is to unearth the gifts and talents of children around the world by providing the resources and environment where growth can occur, while instilling the belief that each child has been uniquely created for a divine purpose.

Since 2012, we have partnered with many generous people who also believe that if we can reduce the barriers caused by a child’s place, they can grow and thrive in ways we never imagined possible.

God is doing amazing things in Haiti, and I am grateful to be a part of the revival that is taking place.  The children I have worked with over the last eight years have impressed me beyond measure, and they continue to challenge me to do more to help cultivate what has already been planted in them by God.

There is power in place.

And, the best part is that no matter the place you’re in, God has placed something in your hands that can assist others in rising up, seeking Him, and knowing that the greatness on the inside of them is significant and needed in the Kingdom.

Let’s keep changing the world together!

With love,

Jeanna :)

mom-48958_1280Dear Mom,

It has been a year.  It has certainly been a year.

It’s been a year since I heard you voice.  It’s been a year since I saw your face.  It’s been a year since I hugged you, and laughed with you, and got to hold your hand.

It’s been a year filled with emotions … both happy and sad, angry and appreciative, joyful and sorrowful.  I miss you.  I miss you in ways I didn’t know I could miss someone.  I miss you for reasons I can’t even put into words.

You were the best.  Your love and your heart are what I miss most.  Your smile and your voice are what I miss most.  Your hugs and your wisdom are what I miss the most.  Simply having you near me, and knowing you were near, is what I miss the most.

Our memories together are my greatest treasures.  Thank you for creating them with me.  Thank you for living a life that was full of amazing moments.  Those moments are what I stir up in my mind and heart when I need you and want you back.  Those special times that were just you and me, and us … those are the most beautiful things you left behind.

Your life is still making a difference.  I want you to know that, even though you hopefully already know that.  Your words and your wisdom are still here.  Your love and your faith are still here … even though you are gone.

But here’s the thing … you are not really gone.  You’ve just shifted.  You’ve shifted into the most glorious existence … THE existence we will one day experience when we are reunited in Heaven.  God has given us the greatest gift … His love, and life everlasting in His presence.  There is nothing greater.

As I sit here and wish you were sitting right next to me, so I could rest my head on your shoulder, and tell you I love you, I know that deep down … really deep down … I want you to be exactly where you are.  You are with our ever-loving Father.

For you, it’s been a year of worship and praise, dancing and singing, joy and complete peace.  It has been a year of being completely healed and whole and set free.  For you, it has been a year of experiencing God’s presence like we will never know here on Earth.  Of that, I am a little envious.  :)

So, on this one year anniversary of your entrance into Heaven, I want you to know that I still love you more than ever, miss you more than ever, and am so thankful I will see you again someday.  We can worship together, and it will be magnificent.

Thank you for still being here with me, though.  I feel your presence in so many wonderful ways.  The butterflies and the birds, the sunsets and the seasons … they are all reminders of how blessed I am to be your daughter.  I still hear your heartfelt words about love and life and faith, and for that I am grateful.

It has been a year … one of the toughest, but I thank God for healing my heart, day by day.  It’s not an easy journey, and it is not a quick one, either.  It’s a lifelong process of seeking Him … our Comforter.

So, Mom, know that I love you more than words can express, and I pray God allows us to have more beautiful moments together this year.  You are so precious to me.

I’ll love you forever, like you for always,

Your Daughter

Ridiculous

That is ridiculous!

That just sounds crazy.

This doesn’t make any sense!

Now, that is just silly.

Have you ever uttered any or all of these sentiments?

I’m sure, at some point in your life, you’ve said those words … or something pretty close.  There are a variety of situations that elicit the responses above.  Your child makes a decision that you feel is beyond reason, like jumping off of something much too tall, eating something inedible, putting objects in orifices on his or her body that are meant to be “exits” and not “entrances.”

Yes, children do things that draw out those sentiments,

but let’s be honest, adults do too.

And, if we are even more honest, we will recognize that God does as well.

Does He do things that are irresponsible and foolish?  No.

Does He do things that are thoughtless and unwise, unloving or unkind?  No.

However, sometimes the things God does in our life, or shows us in our spirit, do not line up with our reasoning, our rationalizing, or our reality.

Sometimes, the things God is doing, or has done, confound us.

Sometimes, the visions and dreams God shares with us regarding our own lives perturb, bewilder, and perplex us.

Maybe you are like me, and you’ve asked God about what He has planned for your future.  If you haven’t done so, I would challenge you to take the time to sit with Him and ask the question.  What He shares with you will change your life.  I assure you.

When he does share glimpses of your future, and when He gives you hints and ideas about what is possible, those four statements I shared above are often the most common responses.

Lord, there’s no way that could happen!

God, how could this be?  It seems so big, so overwhelming, so great.

Actually, it seems too big, too overwhelming, and too great.

Are you sure you have the right person?

Are you sure it’s me you want?

I am not ready.  I am not capable.

I am not prepared or qualified or equipped!

And then … He will stop you right there.  When the questions and doubts come like a flood, that’s when he will stop you.

That is when he will say, “Peace.  Be still.”

Once you stop … once you get off the hamster wheel of confusion and questions,

He will speak:

“Yes, love, I am talking to you.  I am not a God or a Father who is confused.  I am not at the wrong address, on the wrong street, or in the wrong place.  It’s you I am speaking to, and it’s you I’ve chosen for this specific assignment.

Stop doubting.  Stop questioning.  Stop giving me all of the reasons you can’t or shouldn’t or won’t.

Fear is the root of all of those questions.

Fear is the foundation for all of your doubt.

And that is not where I have called you to dwell.

So, yes love, I meant what I said.  I have hand picked you.  I have chosen you.  Out of the millions and billions of people, past, present, and future, I have chosen you for this.

Receive it.  Believe it.  And believe me.  I know what I am doing. I created the heavens and earth after all, right?  I formed you in your mother’s womb, right?  I called you by name and drew you out of the crowd for this time, this season, this purpose.

Yes, it may sound ridiculous to you, but my ways are not your ways.  My thoughts are not your thoughts.  They are much higher.  They are much deeper, and wider, and longer!

This is where faith comes in.  This is where trust is established.  In this place of uncertainty where you feel completely inadequate, unprepared, unqualified … this is where I fill you and I work through you.

Let’s do this together.  Step by step.  Day by day.  It’s you and me, love.  It’s you and me, and I never fail.  My Holy Spirit is in you; therefore, all things are possible because you believe in me.”

So, today, I want to challenge you (and myself) to remember that we may feel as if we are dwelling in the realm of the ridiculous.  However, it seems ridiculous only if we view His plans with our natural eyes and natural mind.

Let’s rise above our natural senses and believe Him.  Those around us may see us as crazy or silly, odd or “off our rocker.”  But He sees us as faith-filled, ready and waiting for what He has planned next, and I know it brings Him great joy and will make a great impact on the world.

With love,

Jeanna :)

Outstanding Teacher Award

teacher-award

Who has been your greatest teacher?

Who has shaped you, enlightened you, given you wisdom, sown knowledge into the fertile soil of your mind?

Looking back over your life, if you were to give out an

“Outstanding Teacher Award”

Who would receive it?

As you think back, faces and names may be flooding your mind.  Specific individuals and the things they’ve said or done are coming back in a fresh way.  The sound of their voice or the touch of their hand may be rising to the surface as you recollect.

I have had many great teachers along the way.  Many devoted individuals have sown into my life to mold and shape me into the woman I am today.  However, as I look back and really dig in … I recognize that there’s one teacher I’ve overlooked.

This particular teacher has had more of an impact on my life than I ever thought possible, and to be honest, I have given this teacher far too little credit.

This teacher has a name.  This teacher is one whom we’ve all met.  You’ve had this teacher, too.  We have all stepped through the doorway and into this teacher’s classroom probably more times than we can count and more times than we’d like to recall.

This teacher’s name is Pain.

I’m sure you’ve met him.  I’m sure you’ve met her.  She has certainly met you.

He has met you in your darkest moments.  She has wrapped her arms around you and invited you to learn her lessons on more than one occasion.  He has crept into your peaceful existence and taught you lessons you didn’t even know you needed to learn … lessons you had no intention of learning … lessons, if you had a choice, would have chosen to ignore.

Pain is a powerful teacher.

I’d step out on a limb and say that pain has taught you more in your lifetime than any one person ever could.  Pain has a way of getting to the heart of a matter … your heart.  Pain has a way of peeling back the facade we’ve all constructed, as a layer of protection, to get right at your tendermost parts.

I’d venture to say that the lessons you’ve learned through pain have been the most deeply rooted.  They are not easily forgotten.  What we learn in the midst of pain tends to stick with us longer than the lessons we’ve learned in joy, or in moments of victory, success, or achievement.  Those we learn through pain are ingrained … they’re tattooed … they become part of you.

Pain is a powerful teacher.

Pain has a way of shaping and shifting us in ways we needed … not wanted, but needed.  Pain prunes us.  Pain cuts away the excess, the lifeless, the toxic.  Pain removes our security blankets.  We then feel exposed and unprotected.

However, it’s in those moments that we grow the most.  We learn the most.  We hear and see more clearly than ever before.  In those moments of pain, we have a choice to make … wallow in it and allow it to overwhelm us … OR … allow it to be the teacher it longs to be.

God allows us to go through circumstances that we cannot understand, despite our greatest efforts to analyze, synthesize, deconstruct and reconstruct.  In those moments and seasons of pain we cannot fathom that God would allow it to happen to us.  We feel this way because we know He’s a good, good Father.  He loves us and sent His son to die for us.  So, why would he allow us to endure pain?  Why wouldn’t he step in and prevent it?  A good dad would do that, right?

Wrong

The pain is the proof that he loves you.  The pain is the proof that he wants more than anything for you to grow and become more of who he created you to be.  We fool ourselves into thinking that pain is our enemy.  We think that if we are experiencing pain it’s an indicator that we’ve messed up or done something wrong.  At times, that is the case.  However, sometimes pain is a sign that you’re doing the RIGHT thing … that you’re on the RIGHT track, and you’re in the RIGHT place.

So, today, I challenge you to see your pain from a new perspective.

I’ve had to do this recently, and I’m telling you it’s not easy.  It takes effort, and it doesn’t make sense all of the time … or most of the time.  But, believe me, once you begin to see pain as your teacher and not a terrorist, you’ll open up a whole new realm of possibility in your life.  You won’t be the same, and the circumstances you endure won’t either.  And the best part is, as you continue to walk with God, he will HEAL your heart, and he will give you HIS perspective … and that makes ALL the difference! :)

I love you, and I’m praying for you,

Jeanna :)

Prayer for Our Nation #7

Prayer #7:  Prayer for Gratitude

flag-whandsDear God,

Thank you for your sovereignty.  Thank you for your holiness and wholeness.  Thank you for being in complete control, and thank you for guiding our steps even when we don’t realize you are the one leading the way.

Help us Lord, as a nation, to grasp the vastness of your goodness and the infinite nature of your love.  Help us to better understand who you are and who we are in you.  As a result, Lord, I believe we won’t have the capacity for any other response, any other posture, any other perspective than that of gratitude and gratefulness.

We are blessed.

Despite the bad days and bad news and bad breaks, we are blessed.

We are favored.  We are loved.

Those are the facts.  Help us Lord to magnify the good.  Give us your lens for our life.  Help us to see what you see, and I believe in doing so, we will have a greater propensity toward a spirit of thankfulness.  It will emanate from our pores and be the scent other sense when they come near.  Let us emit and radiate gratefulness wherever we go and in whatever we do.  Let our aroma of gratitude draw those around us to you.

Your word says to enter your gates with thanksgiving and enter your courts with praise (Ps. 100:4).  Help us to start each day with words of gratitude on our lips, clothing ourselves with the garment of praise.  Forgive us for coming to you with our “want list” and forgetting entirely the millions of blessings we’ve already been given.  Help us to start with “Thank you Lord …”  After spending time in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, I believe our prayers, our priorities, and our petitions will shift into alignment with your heart and your will.

So, Lord, we just want to take time now to let you know that we ARE thankful.  We are grateful beyond measure for the gift of your son Jesus who has saved us and set us free.  We thank you for your infinite love for us that knows no bounds.  Thank you for being our provider, protector, healer, and way maker.  You are our all in all, and we need you now more than ever before.

We are believing that things in our nation are shifting back into alignment with your will and your word.  As we continue to pray for our nation, Lord, we vow to do our best to begin each day and each conversation with you by acknowledging your goodness and our gratefulness.

We love you Lord, and we thank you for hearing our prayers and fighting our battles.  In you, we already have victory.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen

Prov. 17:22 – A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

Prayer for Our Nation #6

Prayer #6:  Prayer for the Lost

flag-whands

Lord, many of these prayers were meant to stir up the faith of the believers in this nation and remind them that our nation needs their intercession.  However, today’s prayer is specifically for those who don’t know you as their savior — those who have not received the FREE GIFT of everlasting life that was wrapped in love through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We pray today for those who have never heard of you, those who’ve heard but rejected you, and for those who were once close to you, but have chosen to walk away.  We ask that you wrap your loving arms around them, revealing who you are.  Help them to know they are yours.  Allow them to hear the Gospel today — the Good News of your son Jesus dying to save them from sin to give them life everlasting and Kingdom purpose.  Allow your children to hear it in words, actions, events in their life, experiences with you, and in any other way that causes the message to penetrate deep into their hearts.

Your heart longs for the lost — it grieves for the lost.

2 Peter 3:9 says that it is your will that NONE should perish, but that everyone come to repentance.  Jesus came to SEEK and SAVE the lost.

If it was Jesus’ mission, it’s our mission.

In Luke 15, you gave us a clear picture of how significant it is for the lost to be found.  The shepherd left the 99 to find the lost 1, the woman searched high and low in every nook and nesting place to find her lost coin, and the prodigal son’s father waited patiently for him to arrive back home, welcoming him with open arms, an open heart, and so much more.  Every lost one is significant to you.  Help us to feel the longing for the lost that you feel.  Help us to go to the unpleasant places and uncomfortable spaces to bring them home.  Forgive us for our lack of urgency in this area.

So, today Lord, we ask you to use us in the lives of your children who are lost to show them your love, reveal to them the free gift of salvation that you’ve already purchased, and celebrate with them as they become a part of the family of God.  Heaven is celebrating — like wild, crazy, loud celebrations over ever single person who’s saying yes to you.  Let us join with the angels in Heaven as we praise you for your goodness and your unending love.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

Prayer for Our Nation #5

Prayer #5:  Prayer for Faith

flag-whandsDear Lord,

Today, we want to pray for another fundamental area in which our nation desperately needs your help, your hand, and your heart.  We’ve spent the last few days praying some significant prayers for our country.  We’ve spoken the words and allowed them to penetrate deep within us, but the words mean nothing if we have no faith.

Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen.  Another version of Hebrews 11:1 says “Faith is CONFIDENCE in what we hope for and ASSURANCE about what we do not see.”

If we have no faith, we have no substance.  If we have no faith, we have no assurance.  Without faith, it’s impossible to please You, Lord (Heb. 11:6).

So, what is faith?

One dictionary definition states that it is “complete trust in someone or something … a strong belief in God based on spiritual awareness rather than proof.”  It’s trusting.  It’s believing.  It’s knowing … despite the lack of physical, tangible proof … that what you believe and who you believe are real.

So, Lord, today we ask you to reveal more to us about the essentiality of faith.  Help us to grasp how significant faith really is.  It’s our lifeblood as believers.  It’s our oxygen.  It’s our manna from heaven.  And the best part is it’s so much more than can even be described with words.  Words cannot contain the power that faith brings.  Letters and syllables cannot express the complete shift that takes place in a person’s life when he or she moves from fear to faith, from blindness to sight, from darkness to light.

Our heart’s cry today, Lord is to see FAITH stirred up in your children, in our nation.  Stir it like you’ve never stirred it before.  Unleash our capacity for faith.  Enlarge our faith and help us to tap into the vastness of it … even if we cannot quantify or qualify it.  We are believing that as this takes place in us and in those around us, we WILL SEE change.  We will see fires ignite in the hearts of your people, and we will see faith open doors, open windows of heaven, open hearts, open hands, and open up the realm of the miraculous in ways no eye has seen and no ear has heard.

We thank you in advance for the stirring that is taking place in our nation right now.  Faith is rising deep within your people, and we are excited to see all that is to come, because your word says that “our latter shall be greater.”  We are standing on that promise right now, by faith, and we decree that we WILL SEE the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen

Paraphrased Verses:  1 Cor. 2:9, Haggai 2:9, Psalm 27:13

Prayer #4:  Prayer for Wisdom

flag-whandsDear God,

We thank you for your word that is so powerful and so filled with treasure we have barely begun to understand.  Help us to glean from your word today in ways that allow our minds and hearts to be changed.  Give your people a new or renewed hunger for your word.  Remind us that from it, we can hear you speak and begin to deepen our relationship with you.

Right now, Lord, it seems as if our nation is consumer focused.  We have allowed THINGS to replace you in our lives, and they are empty and will never fulfill.  Help us to recognize that no one and no THING can satisfy us … no matter how shiny or new or eloquent or appealing.

You said in your word, in Proverbs 4:7,

“WISDOM is the principal thing;  therefore GET WISDOM:  and with all thy getting get understanding.”

The Message Bible puts it this way,

“Never walk away from Wisdom — she guards your life; love her — she keeps her eye on you.  Above all and before all, do this:  Get Wisdom!  Write this at the top of your list:  Get Understanding!  Throw your arms around her — believe me, you won’t regret it.”

We have abandoned wisdom, Lord.  We have put her on the last line of our “Want List.”  Forgive us for putting temporary, meaningless things above you and above wisdom.  Reorder our priorities, Lord.  You said in your word that the last shall be first, and the first shall be last.  I pray that’s true for our nation’s priorities right now.  We’ve made the essential optional and the optional essential.  Flip it, Lord.

And, how does one GET wisdom?

The only way we can increase in wisdom and understanding is if we spend time with you.  Reading your word and developing our relationship with you is the only way.  You are patiently waiting for us to return to you.  You long for us to return.

We are like prodigals, but you already have our coat and our fatted calf waiting, and you’re ready to strike up the band and start the party.  You’re staring out into the distance LONGING to see a glimpse of us returning home.  Help us to return.  Guide us away from the pig pens we are eating from, and help us return to you with more passion and love and longing than ever before.

When we do so, Lord, I KNOW our hearts will change, our relationship with you will deepen, and wisdom and understanding will reign in this land.  Let it be so, and let it be now.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Prayer for Our Nation #3

Prayer #3:  Prayer for Unity

flag-whands

Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving us the gift of one another.  Thank you for the uniqueness that you built into every single one of your children.  We are blessed to be so different, but we are even MORE blessed when we use our differences to draw us together.

Your word says in Romans 12:4-5, “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body.  We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.”

If we are all part of ONE body, what are we doing when we harm those around us, whether it’s verbally, physically, or in the thoughts that run through our mind?  We are cursing our own body.  We are cursing YOUR body, Lord.  We are like cancer cells attacking our own system.

Is that healthy?  Is that helpful?  Is that loving?

Is it any wonder our nation, our body, is suffering?

Lord, forgive us for attacking ourselves!  Forgive us for seeing each other as the enemy when you have clearly said that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness …” (Eph. 6:12).  We are not our own enemy.  Help us to discern the true enemy and call a ceasefire in our own land.

You came that we might have LIFE and have it more ABUNDANTLY!  The only way we can do so is if we unite with those who trust in you so that those who have not yet trusted in you will WANT to become part of the body.

Unite us Lord.  Give us eyes to see that we are more alike than we are different.  Remind us daily of your will for us in this vital area.

Today, Lord, this is our plea for our nation:  “I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other.  Let there be no divisions in the church.  Rather, be of ONE mind, UNITED in thought and purpose.” ~ 1 Cor. 1:10

Help us value unity over division … righteousness over “right”ness … love over hate.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Psalm 133:1 – How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in UNITY!

Eph. 4:3 – Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Prayer for Our Nation #2

Prayer #2:  Prayer for Love

flag-whandsDear God,

We lift our nation up to you right now, and we ask that you help us to love.  Love was your mission, first and foremost.  John 3:16 begins by saying “God SO LOVED the world that he sent His only son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Help us Lord to be better lovers … lovers of You and lovers of one another.  Help us to see one another the way you see us.   As your children, you see us clothed in righteousness.  Our sin has been cast as far as the east is from the west.  Help us to see each person we encounter on a daily basis, whether through personal interaction or through the media, as YOUR child.  Give us YOUR eyes to see every person as a beautiful child of God, for whom you loved enough to die and take away the sin that separated us from you.

We thank you that you are a God who loves us more than we can even fathom.  Help us to be FILLED with YOUR love, SO MUCH that we can’t help but OVERFLOW into the lives of those around us.  We cannot give what we do not have.  Help us to be filled with more of you … and as we do, Your love will flow through us in greater measure, allowing the world to see greater glimpses of you every single day.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen
